Terms of Service
These terms govern access to and use of the Code Ambassadors School Portal by participating schools, administrators, facilitators, parents or guardians, and students.
1. Using the portal
The portal supports school-based coding and robotics programmes. Users may access only the areas and records allowed by their assigned role. A school, parent, or guardian that enables a student's use confirms that they are authorised to do so and accept these terms on the student's behalf where required.
2. School responsibilities
- Provide accurate enrolment, class, guardian, and contact information.
- Have appropriate authority to enrol students and share their information.
- Distribute student credentials securely and report incorrect records promptly.
- Provide suitable supervision for scheduled CBT sessions and school-based activities.
- Pay agreed enrolment fees and provide genuine payment evidence.
3. Accounts and credentials
Adult users must protect their passwords. Students must protect their Portal Student ID and PIN and change temporary PINs when requested. Accounts may not be shared or used to view another person's records. Notify Code Ambassadors if credentials may have been exposed.
4. Learning, submissions, and assessments
Programme content is organised by school term. Students are responsible for completing lessons, practice checkpoints, home challenges, mid-term quizzes, and supervised CBTs within the applicable availability periods. Home-challenge submissions may retain version history. Facilitator feedback and scores may be reviewed and corrected where an authorised review identifies an error.
Access interruptions, approved make-up CBT windows, or school-specific term dates may affect timing. Code Ambassadors does not guarantee a particular score or educational outcome.
5. Live classes and Google Meet
Live classes are scheduled support sessions. Calendar invitations and Google Meet links may be sent to assigned facilitators and relevant participant email addresses. Users must behave respectfully, join only sessions intended for them, and must not record or redistribute a session without permission from Code Ambassadors and the school.
6. Acceptable use
Users must not:
- Attempt to access another user's account, class, submission, or result.
- Cheat, impersonate another student, or interfere with an assessment.
- Upload malicious, unlawful, infringing, or unrelated material.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass portal security.
- Harass others or misuse live-class links, contact information, or learning records.
7. Content and student work
Code Ambassadors and its licensors retain rights in lessons, videos, worksheets, assessments, portal software, and branding. They may be used only for the participating programme and may not be republished or sold. Students retain rights they hold in their original work and permit Code Ambassadors and the school to store, review, grade, and display that work as needed to deliver the programme.
8. Availability and external services
We aim to keep the portal available but maintenance, internet failures, school networks, device limitations, or external providers may cause interruptions. Features that rely on Google Meet, Mux, Cloudinary, Resend, payment providers, or other services are also subject to those services' availability and applicable terms.
9. Suspension or termination
Access may be restricted or suspended to protect users, investigate misuse, address non-payment, comply with law, or enforce these terms. Where reasonable, the relevant school or adult account holder will be informed and given an opportunity to resolve the issue.
10. Privacy, changes, and contact
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. We may update these terms as the programme or portal changes and will publish the revised date here. Questions may be sent to codeambassadorsng@gmail.com.
